The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP)

The MINEFOP has implemented a program called Integrated Project Support the informal sector (PIAASI) to train and support individuals and CSOs (associations, IAG) working in the informal sector. These funds between

100 000 FCFA FCFA 1.5 million are repayable from the 12th month from the receipt of funds and the repayment period lasts 15 months.

To obtain PIAASI, applicants must be closer to the delegation of MINEFOP the administrative district where they plan to complete their project. It is where they will be provided with all information relating to the establishment of the administrative record.

The Ministry of Youth (Ministry of Youth Affairs)

The Ministry of Youth Affairs has implemented a program entitled: Support program for rural youth and urban (PAJER-U) to promote the socioeconomic integration of young Cameroonian-school and school leavers (graduates or not) aged 15 to 35 years.

To obtain PAJER-U, young people and those grouped together or ICG must register with the delegation of Ministry of Youth Affairs of the administrative district where they plan to complete their project.

The U-PAJER includes several components including:

  • Mobilization and Training;
  • Support for entrepreneurship and employment;
  • Financing;
  • Support;
  • Identify strategies;
  • Program Coordination.

The Ministry of  agriculture and rural development (MINADER)

Working the land represents a multitude of opportunities not only in terms of wealth creation and employment of mass, but also to promote food self-sufficiency. Thus MINADER has implemented an ambitious agricultural policy in a distributed set of programs to support volunteer actors engaged in agriculture.

These programs include:

The program to support the integration of youth in agriculture (PAIJA)

The PAIJA, part of the Strategy Document for Poverty Reduction in Cameroon (SDPR) aims to support and installation of 15 000 young farmers by the year 2015.

The overall objective is to contribute to PAIJA rejuvenation and modernization of farms, and the reduction of youth unemployment. The beneficiaries are young Cameroonian isolated or grouped with the two sexes of an estate or a small operation can be extended but with equipment and / or insufficient financial resources.

To be eligible you must PAIJA be 18 years of age and 40 years; be of Cameroonian nationality, have a right to operate on land; provide a viable micro.

The supports granted by the PAIJA are funding and capacity building of beneficiaries.

The program to revive the sector Plantain (PRFP)

This program aims to bridge the MINADER plantain deficit observed on the sub-regional and national markets. Operationally, it addresses the establishment of a network of nursery professionals, support to farmers interested in establishing a plantation of 0.5 to 1 ha and more than a pure culture.

The support consists of grants awarded seed plantain, insecticides and nematicides, direct subsidies to nursery, training in techniques of plant propagation to ICG and others.

The national Program for the development of roots and tubers (PDRT)

The overall objective is to contribute to PNDRT improving food security and income growth of rural populations through the promotion of sector development of roots and tubers. The beneficiaries are the farmers' organizations and farmers.

The support granted consist of donations of agricultural inputs, training for capacity building, support boards (production, marketing, processing).

The National Programme to support maize (PNAFM)

The PNAFM aims to improve production and incomes of corn producers. The program envisages a share of train and installs corn seed growers alike, and increases the incomes of members of producer organizations.

The support consists of grants awarded in agricultural equipment, basic seed, fertilizer, pesticides, and various technical supports to producers, seed growers, producers' organizations.

The cocoa seed program / coffee (PSCC)

The PSCC is a support structure MINADER responsible for the production of selected seeds of cocoa and coffee (Arabica and Robusta). The program's objective is to contribute to the regulation and the expansion of cocoa and coffee plantations in Cameroon. The beneficiaries are the producers' organizations, particularly groups of young farmers and women wishing to become professional in the cocoa / coffee.

Seed produced and distributed by the PSCC give high yields of around 5 to 10 times higher than those obtained from the seeds called "all comers".

The program to revive the potato industry

This program is implemented in the Central Highlands (west) aims to boost production, processing and marketing of potatoes. The beneficiaries are the ICG, sellers and processors.

The development program of the die head (PDFC)

This program aims to develop the sector as fungus income generating activities.

The program to support the relaunch of tobacco growing in the east of Cameroon (PARTEC)

The PARTEC is a project funded HIPC (Heavily Indebted Poor Countries) that is managed by the Federation of tobacco growers and other food crops in Cameroon (FPTC). Its objective is to improve the living conditions of people in tobacco-growing areas in eastern Cameroon.

The supports granted to the beneficiaries (farmers’) consist of inputs, agricultural tools, to support the construction of kilns, to support research on wrapper tobacco and marketing support.

The Ministry of livestock, fisheries and animal industries (MINEPIA)

The MINEPIA has implemented a set of programs designed to support joint initiatives Groups (CIG) that operate in the area of livestock.

These programs include the "development agenda of the pig industry (PSDB), which provides training to hog but also donations of animals (pigs), food and material health (vaccines, etc.). And funding for livestock management.
